Combivist L Asthma inhaler

Combimist L Inhaler

Combimist L is a short-acting adrenoreceptor used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – COPD in short and asthma. This drug is a combination of levosalbutamol and ipratropium. The drug is also used for narrowing of the respiratory tract, pneumonia and other concomitant conditions. This works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bronchi and thus helps to reduce or reverse an acute attack of shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

Active components: Levosalbutamol and Ipratropium bromide

Doses

50/20mcg

Price

from $25.00 per inhaler

combivent asthma inhaler

Combivent Inhaler

Combivent is a dosing inhaler containing a combination of albuterol and ipratropium. Albuterol and ipratropium are bronchodilators that relax the muscles in the airways and increase the flow of air into the lungs Combivent is used as an inhaled drug to prevent bronchospasm in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who also use other medications to control their condition.

Active components: Salbutamol and Ipratropium bromide

Doses

50/20mcg

Price

from $26.00 per inhaler

proair asthma inhaler

Proair Inhaler

Proair is used to prevent and treat wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems (such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). It is also used to prevent exercise-induced asthma. Gives quick relief. Albuterol belongs to the class of bronchodilators. This works by relaxing the muscles around the airways so that they open up and it becomes easier for you to breathe.

Active components: Albuterol Sulfate (also known as salbutamol)

Doses

100mcg

Price

from $15.00 per inhaler

spiriva inhaler

Spiriva Inhaler

Spiriva is indicated as maintenance therapy in patients with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema (maintenance therapy for persistent shortness of breath and to prevent exacerbations). Additional supportive therapy in patients from 6 years of age with bronchial asthma, with persistent symptoms of the disease while taking at least inhaled glucocorticosteroids to reduce symptoms of bronchial asthma, improve quality of life and reduce the frequency of exacerbations.

Active components: Tiotropium Bromide

Doses

9mcg

Price

from $45.00 per inhaler

symbicort inhaler

Symbicort Inhaler

Symbicort contains budesonide and formoterol, which have different mechanisms of action and exhibit an additive effect in reducing the frequency of exacerbations of bronchial asthma. The special properties of budesonide and formoterol make it possible to use their combination to relieve seizures / symptoms with an anti-inflammatory effect, or as a supportive therapy for bronchial asthma.

Active components: Budesonide / formoterol fumarate dihydrate

Doses

160/4,5mcg

Price

from $55.00 per inhaler

tiova inhaler

Tiova Inhaler

Tiova Inhaler is an anticholinergic medicine. It is used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. It relaxes the airway muscles and makes it easier to breathe. This helps relieve symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing.

Active components: Tiotropium Bromide

Doses

9mcg

Price

from $45.00 per inhaler

tiova rotacap

Tiova Rotacap

Tiova Rotacap belongs to the group of anti-asthmatic medicines called bronchodilators used to treat asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes).

Active components: Tiotropium Bromide

Doses

15 caps

Price

from $133.00 per bottle

ventolin inhaler

Ventolin Inhaler

Ventolin is a bronchodilating agent based on salbutamol, relieves bronchospasm. It is used for the treatment of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic bronchitis. Selective beta-2-adrenomimetics. It has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of the bronchi.

Active components: Salbutamol (salbutamol sulfate form).

Doses

100mcg

Price

from $27.33 per inhaler

proventil inhaler

Proventil Inhaler

Proventil is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways and increases air flow to the lungs. Proventil HFA is used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in people with reversible obstructive airway disease. It is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm. Inhaled albuterol is preferred for all uses vs. oral albuterol due to side-effect profile.

Active components: Salbutamol

Doses

100mcg

Price

from $27.17 per inhaler

pulmicort inhaler

Pulmicort Inhaler

Budesonide is used to help prevent the symptoms of asthma. When used regularly every day, inhaled budesonide decreases the number and severity of asthma attacks. However, it will not relieve an asthma attack that has already started. Budesonide works by preventing inflammation (swelling) in the lungs, which makes the asthma attack less severe. Inhaled budesonide may be used with other asthma medicines such as bronchodilators, which are also used to open up narrowed breathing passages in the lungs.

Active components: Budesonide

How to choose an asthma inhaler correctly

The course of treatment and the speed of relief of an asthmatic attack of suffocation depend on the choice of the correct inhaler or nebulizer. The asthma inhaler is used for the main treatment with hormonal drugs (Flixotide, Aldecin, Pulmicort in an aerosol and for a nebulizer). Sprays with bronchodilators are used to relieve an attack (Berodual, Salbutamol). Combined medicines (Symbicort, Seretide) are considered effective. A nebulizer is used to administer solutions, MESH is the best for asthmatics. In its absence, a compressor device is used at home. Incorrect inhalation of the aerosol or self-change of the treatment regimen causes the inhaler to stop working.

Asthma inhaler for basic and symptomatic therapy

For the treatment of asthma, drugs for basic therapy are used - these are inhalations with hormones through a nebulizer (of any type), powder or metered dose inhaler (spray). Symptomatic therapy includes the use of a medication to expand the bronchi during an asthma attack. Such medications should always be with you, so pocket options are needed - a MESH inhaler (liquid breathing apparatus), powder or spray.

Spacers - a tube for asthmatics

A spacer is a nozzle (a tube with an expansion) that is needed for an asthmatic so that the entire dose of the drug from the can enters the lungs. It is recommended for patients who have not learned how to inhale an aerosol or do not have enough strength to take a good breath (children, the elderly, debilitated).

Even those who are sure that they are doing everything right need a spacer in 40% of cases, since the flow of the drug often stops reflexively after the very first minutes of inhalation. It is important for a child to choose a spacer that has a mask for a snug fit to the face and a valve system. It helps to get the right dose not in one, but in several breaths.
